Information notice
Privacy policy
Below we describe what data the thisconnected.pl website collects, for what purpose, and what rights you have. This document complies with the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council).
01Data controller
The controller of your personal data is Dominik Cichosz, operating as an unregistered business under the ThisConnected brand, based in Lublin, Poland.
For data protection matters, contact us at the email address or phone number above.
02What data we collect
The site has no contact form, login, or user accounts. We collect data in three situations:
- When you email, text, or call us — we process the data you provide: your name, email address, phone number, and the content of your message.
- Technical data (server logs) — the hosting provider automatically records, among other things, your IP address, the date and time of your visit, and your browser type. This is used solely to ensure the security and correct operation of the site.
- Visit statistics (with your consent) — if you accept cookies, Google Analytics collects aggregated data about how the site is used (pages visited, approximate location, device type). Details in the "Cookies and consent" section.
03Purpose and legal basis for processing
- Responding to your inquiry and contact — Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest: handling correspondence).
- Performing the cooperation, should it take place — Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
- Accounting obligations (e.g. income records) — Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.
- Security and performance of the site (technical logs) — Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- Visit statistics (Google Analytics) — Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (your consent, given in the cookie banner; you may withhold or withdraw it).
04How long we keep data
We keep data from inquiries until the correspondence ends, and if cooperation begins — for its duration and for the period required by law (accounting). After that period we delete or anonymise the data. Technical logs are kept by the hosting provider for a limited time according to its policy. Statistical data in Google Analytics is kept for a maximum of 14 months and is then automatically deleted.
05Data recipients and processors
Your data may be processed by the service providers we use:
- Website hosting: OVHcloud (OVH Sp. z o.o.)
- CDN and DNS: Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.)
- E-mail: Google (Gmail)
- Visit analytics: Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.)
- Tag management: Google Tag Manager (Google Ireland Ltd.)
Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area (including in the USA) — primarily on the basis of the European Commission adequacy decision of 10 July 2023 (EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework) — Google LLC is certified under the DPF. In addition, Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission and other mechanisms provided for in Chapter V of the GDPR apply. We do not sell your data and we do not share it for marketing purposes.
06Cookies and consent
The site uses Google Analytics 4 (via Google Tag Manager) for anonymous visit statistics. These tools may store cookies and process, among other things, your IP address.
On your first visit we show a consent banner. Until you accept, Google
Consent Mode is set to analytics_storage: denied, which
blocks analytics data and cookies from being stored on your device.
Withdrawing consent: click „Cookie settings" in the footer of any page.
The banner reappears and analytics is switched off immediately — no page reload needed.
Your choice is stored in the browser's local storage (key tc-consent), not in a
cookie, so clearing cookies alone does not remove it. Technical cookies necessary for the site
to work do not require consent.
What we store
The entries below are created only after you give consent. Before you accept the banner, no analytics cookies are stored on your device.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | cookie | Google Analytics 4 — distinguishes users | 2 years |
_ga_RJRV7PNL1W | cookie | Google Analytics 4 — persists session state | 2 years |
tc-consent | local storage | stores your consent choice (not a cookie) | until consent is withdrawn |
07Automated decisions
We do not make fully automated decisions and we do not use profiling that would produce legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affect you.
08Your rights
In connection with the processing of your data, you have the right to:
- access your data and receive a copy of it,
- rectify (correct) your data,
- erase your data,
- restrict processing,
- data portability,
- object to processing based on legitimate interest.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority — the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (PUODO), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, Poland. To exercise your rights, write to [email protected].
09Providing data is voluntary
Providing your data is voluntary but necessary for us to respond to your inquiry. Without contact details we cannot get back to you.
